R.A.K.E.’s mission is simple: to support the community in a positive way. We want to enrich lives, encourage kindness, and promote the act of “paying it forward.” Every act of kindness, whether helping provide necessities to someone in need or promoting cultural growth among children can help make a difference.
HELP US SPREAD KINDNESS AROUND THE WORLD
Helping people has continued to be a passion for founder, Ricky Smith, over the years. Raised in the Cleveland suburbs of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, Ricky possessed a need to excite the world with his off-kilter wit and eagerness to help the needy any way he could. Through his routine charitable actions, Ricky possessed a sense of randomness. From giving random umbrellas on a rainy day to offering prime time sporting tickets to absolute strangers, Ricky wanted to create experiences for people while giving back. His consistent random giving attracted the attention of friends in his hometown, Cleveland, OH, and in a short time Ricky knew his actions needed to be a model to inspire others to want to perform “Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere”. R.A.K.E. was then born.
By including the giving aspect not only did Ricky want to create experiences but he wanted to show that giving goes a long way.

R.A.K.E. is a collective effort of generous supporters who give monetarily and volunteers who share their time to make a difference. We feed and clothe the homeless, raise funds and collect books to donate to schools and children’s programs in need and make a huge impact by paying it forward. In this time of need #RAKE has continued to show the world examples of kindness, from providing meals daily to kids and families in need, to producing masks for unsung heroes on the front lines to rolling out a food and medication delivery service for the elderly to lifting up spirits of medical workers.
